However, you will find a few types of sushi that are unhealthy. They have higher calories, due to higher fat content. You should avoid them and some of these sushi rolls are made with tempura shrimp. Good example are Dynamite rolls, they contain higher calories due to deep frying because shrimp are normally deep fried. But, there are sushi rolls with good higher fat content such as avocado which contains a healthy monounsaturated fat that is great for your heart. Finally avoid fish with high mercury such as tilefish, tuna, swordfish, king mackerel and shark, especially expectant mothers. Mercury can have negative impact to your baby’s brain.
